Dr. Kelly has practiced emergency medicine for 25 years. During this time, he has developed a strong reputation for compassionate and conservative care for his patients.
As a leader in telemedicine since the 1990's, his first telemedicine company was based in Seattle where he provided remote care for Alaskan and Northwest fisherman out of the Bering Strait and Dutch Harbor. He went on to lead the prototype development of the present telemedicine system used by the Univ of New Mexico to provide coverage for the state of New Mexico for remote stroke and emergent care.
He has an extensive cancer biomolecular research background where he worked in the labs of Bart Barloguie, Carlos Croce, Kay Huebner and John Minna. He was selected to attend an Honors Program at the NCI division of the NIH by Dr. Fauci during 1994-95.
He also created a 501(c)3, Community Reach, in Seattle, WA that served as a vehicle for senior citizens to strengthen their community from 1996 to 2002.
